Core Curriculum

Prerequisites

To apply, candidates must complete the following with a grade of “C” or higher:

  • DA 50 – Introduction to Dental Science and Dental Occupations
  • DA 57 – Dental Sciences and Anatomy
  • Additionally, English Composition (ENG 100 or equivalent) must be completed as a co-requisite.

Certification and Exams

Graduates of the program are eligible to take:

  • California RDA Examination
  • Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) Exam
  • These certifications are crucial for dental assisting roles in California and nationally, allowing students to become licensed as both RDA and CDA.
